Enrol in ‘First Aid for Parents and Carers Online,’ our course tailored for those caring for babies and young children. This convenient online format allows you to learn crucial first aid skills at your own pace, wherever you are.

The course begins by equipping you with vital life-saving skills. You’ll first learn about resuscitation and how to effectively manage choking, two critical skills in emergency situations. Following this, you’ll gain practical knowledge in treating burns and controlling bleeding, ensuring you can confidently handle these common accidents.

As you progress, the course also focuses on managing medical emergencies like anaphylaxis, asthma, and fevers. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of these conditions, preparing you to respond effectively. In addition, you’ll learn how to tackle common childhood ailments such as RSV, conjunctivitis, and head injuries, empowering you with the knowledge to care for your child in various health scenarios.

Further, the course covers handling croup, various rashes, and hand, foot & mouth disease. These topics are presented in detail, giving you strategies and information to increase your preparedness for these specific conditions.

This course is delivered online.

Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online course studies.

Online 30 minutes

Individuals undertaking this course are not expected to complete any assessment tasks.

Certificates will require renewal after 12 months
